Keith Williams is a wildlife artist currently living in Adelaide, South Australia. He primarily works in pastels, applying them to a variety of papers for differing effects. Unusual for pastels, his paintings have a very solid appearance, with great depth of colour, tone & texture; achieved by carefully layering the pastels and essentially building the image up.
Keith’s main influences have been from his family, primarily his mother Reenie Williams, a talented and popular artist and teacher. His family include many capable artists, most notably his uncle Bernard Hesling, a popular and highly regarded painter, author and television and radio personality.
Keith has won several prizes including:
1st Place, Royal Adelaide Show Art Purchase Exhibition
2nd Place, Royal Adelaide Show Art Exhibition
Merit Award, Royal Adelaide Show Art Purchase Exhibition
Peoples Choice Award, Noarlunga Rotary Art Show
Merit Award, Campbelltown Art Show
Peoples Choice, Campbelltown Art Show
Keith has returned to painting after a lengthy break, and now has the time to enjoy his art to the fullest. |
